New Years' Tin Melting Demo (JANUARY 5th 2025)

The tradition of melting tin to decipher omens for the year ahead has a long history in Finland and Karelia. This fun, interactive presentation introduces participants to this custom as well as how to safely practice it at home with family. Typically, our tin melting presentation is done at the end of our Annual Member meeting in early January.
